The osteopathic yoga is a practice that combines the principles of Iyengar yoga with the fundamentals of osteopathy, with the aim of promoting structural balance, functional mobility of the body and self-regulation of the nervous and fascial systems.
Key features:
Inspired by Iyengar Yoga: This practice embraces precision with an almost scientific approach to posture, postural alignment and methodical use of props or implements (props such as blocks, belts, blankets or chairs) characteristic of Iyengar yoga. These tools allow the postures to be adapted to the anatomical and functional needs of each individual, making the practice accessible, safe and beneficial for a wide variety of bodies and conditions.
The osteopathic osteopathic knowledge of the body to respect the anatomy of each person, encouraging movements that release joint and fascial restrictions.
Conscious movement and functional breathing: Quality of movement is prioritized over amplitude (range), integrating breath to support nervous system self-regulation and release of deep tensions.
